If you wish to allow a user group to attach (upload) files on your board you will have to complete the following:

• You have to enter a reasonable numerical value under the groups "Max upload file size" field.
• You have to edit the forum permission masks and ensure that you've check marked in "Upload" permission.

Here's how you can do the above two steps:

• Login to your Admin CP.
• On the left hand side frame: Under the sub-heading Users and Groups click Manage User Groups.
• On the right hand side frame: Under the main heading User Group Management click Edit Group.
• Under the main heading Global Settings find "POST: Max upload file size (in KB)".
• In this box input the file size you wish for the user group to be able to upload. A good size upload limit should be anywhere between 150 KB to 500 KB. (Note: You can leave it blank to disable file uploads for that user group).
• When you're completed, click Complete Edit to save your changes.
• Repeat this process to enable upload size limits for other user groups.

Now you've got to make sure that the user group has file attaching (uploading) permissions to each forum.

• Login to your Admin CP.
• On the left hand side frame: Under the sub-heading Forum Control click Permission Masks.
• On the right hand side frame: Next to the permission mask you wish to edit, click Edit.
• Under the main heading Forum Access Permissions for Validating Forum Mask go over each forum sub-heading and check mark the box for the Upload permission to enable uploading.
• When you're completed, click Update Forum Permissions to save your changes.
• Repeat this process to enable uploading permissions for other user groups.

You may also enable uploading permissions by forum if you wish to, but both ways are the exact same.

• Login to your Admin CP.
• On the left hand side frame: Under the sub-heading Forum Control click Manage Forums.
• On the right hand side frame: Under the Edit sub-heading click Permissions.
• Now either place an individual check for each upload permission, or under the GLOBAL permissions place one check to enable uploading for the whole row.
• When you're completed, Edit this forum to save your changes.
• Repeat this process for every other forum you have.
